Lifeline Online

21 July 2010

If you have a favorite verse of Scripture, e-mail it to me and I will share it in upcoming Lifelines.

Outreach Emphasis- It's Time To Invite!  Invite your friends, neighbors, co-workers and family members to church services every Sunday through Easter.  Inviting someone to go to church with you is simple.  And it works.  Most people first attend a church, studies have shown, because they received an invitation from a church member that they knew.

Wednesday Night At the Oasis is on break until September.

Sunday- Ryan Somero will make a short presentation about his year-long mission trip to Ethiopia.  An offering plate will be available in the foyer for those who wish to donate to support Ryan.

Cooks needed for Wednesday Night Fellowship Meals beginning in September.  If you are interested in helping, please sign up in the foyer or contact Kathy Fleck at 875-0517 or e-mail- casemegan@msn.com  Thanks!

Vacation Bible School is next week, Monday-Friday for all children, ages 4 through rising 6th graders.  Time is 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.  This year's theme "Hall of Faith" is based on Hebrews 11.  Children will study the life stories of Abraham, Sarah, Noah, Moses and Rahab.  Registration cards are available in the foyer.  Please pre-register your child this Sunday and invite your neighbors, co-workers and friends.

Please note that the Weight Loss Support Group will not be meeting during the month of July.

July 26-30, Vacation Bible School, for all children ages 4-rising 6th graders, 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. Hall of Faith is our theme based on Hebrews 11.  Children will learn about faith through "Uncle Theodore", crafts, songs, creative worship and the life stories of Abraham, Sarah, Noah, Moses and Rahab.  VBS registration cards are now available in the foyer.  Please pre-register your children, this is most helpful.  Take some cards and invite and register the children of your  neighbors, co-workers and friends.  VBS is a great community outreach program.

From The Pulpit
Storm Series

Each week I hope that you will "reflect" on the Scripture often throughout the week and let it strengthen your faith. Here is today's Reflection Scripture:

REFLECTIONS-

"The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?"

 Psalm 27:1

Quick Quote
Proverbs 15:3
The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
