"Change involves carrying out an activity against the habit of life."

The Pastor's Perspective
Monday afternoon I was sitting in my office on the second floor of
the Adminstrative Building, finishing up before I went home for the
evening. Unbeknownst to me at the time, a tornado was forming right
above me. Thankfully, it moved northeast before it fully formed and
touched down. I thank God for His protection, as the second story
of a house is not the place that you want to be when a tornado hits!
We are in the midst of our sermon series,
Storm Stories.
The storms of life are sometimes nearer than we think and many times
hit us with little or no advanced warning. Sometimes God prevents
the storm from coming into our lives. Other times He keeps us safe
through the storms. Our theme verse for this series is Isaiah 25:4
which states that the Lord is a shelter in the storm. This Sunday
we will continue this series by looking at the message,
The Calm in the Storm, taken from Matthew
14:22-33. I look forward to seeing you this Sunday. If you know
someone who is going through a difficult time in their life, invite
them to join you for our next segment of Storm Stories!
Love
Dennis
